Seymour
Duncan Convertible Hi-Gain EQ Preamp Module
This module has four knobs on top for adjusting EQ levels. Inside
there is a PCB stacked on top of another. They are connected by
some pins. There are two different kind of opamps used in the
circuit, a TL074 and a TL082. These are apparently used to
seperate the four bands of EQ and to control the amount of EQ in
each band. The EQ bands are centered around 200Hz, 750Hz, 2KHz
and 5KHz. Capacitors of differing values are used to funnel each
frequency band. The 200Hz works well for low emphasis and the 2K
and 5K will trim the highs.
Due to the complexity of this module, it probably would be
difficult to build. So, if you have your heart set on getting one
of these modules, try finding one on ebay.
