Seymour
Duncan Classic EQ Module
This module has four small EQ knobs on the top of the plastic
enclosure. Inside there is a PCB stacked on top of another. They
are connected by some pins. There are two different kind of
opamps used in the circuit, a TL074 and a TL082. These are
apparently used to seperate the four bands of EQ and to control
the amount of EQ in each band. The EQ bands are centered around
200Hz, 750Hz, 2KHz and 5KHz. Capacitors of differing values are
used to funnel each frequency band. It uses a 12AU7 preamp tube. It sounds very good when the amp is set for clean tones when you are using a guitar that has the piezo pickups on the bridge activated, like my Parker Mojo Nitefly for example.
Due to the complexity of this module, it probably would be
difficult to build. So, if you have your heart set on getting one
of these modules, try finding one on ebay.
